Import personal certificate

URL: http://ift.tt/2kL4KN9
Dumb question. Can I import/use an existing CA signed certificate which we have, or do I have to create the certificate request from within MQ for some reason? I ask, because I'm getting errors using the externally sourced certificate (AMQ9654). I read the following in an MQ doc: "The key repository must be the same repository where you created the certificate request." I was really hoping t ...Read more

Hi I am new to IBM MQ and have been stuck on this all day. I am using IBM MQ.NET to connect to a remote host (IBM MQ v8), the admins at the other end tell me there is a CipherSpec mismatch (see below) the message is certainly clear enough. I am specifying the MQEnvironment.SSLCipherSpec = "TLS_RSA_WITH_AES_256_CBC_SHA256". If anyone has used the MQ.Net samples I am modifying the SimplePut .exe ...Read more

Message properties length wrongly included in message length

URL: http://ift.tt/2ltYOoM
When putting a message to a queue, the length of the message is checked to ensure it is less than the MAXMSGL attribute on the queue. If the message contains message properties (for example, messages put using JMS) the length of these properties is incorrectly included in the message length when making this check. This can lead to the message length appearing to MQ to be greater than M ...Read more

Hi, I try to install an MQ 8.0 server on SUSE Linux (SLES11) and have already setup a QM, Channel, Listener and a sample queue. Now I try to connect to this queue via my MQ client on Windows and get the reason code 2035 (no authentication I think). When I was running the MQServer on Windows I just had to add the windows user into the local user group MQM. Now the server is on Linux a ...Read more
